Support to the Development
of the National Childhood Strategy and the National Strategy for Persons
with Disabilities for the Kingdom of Bahrain
| |
This Project will work
simultaneously on issues facing two target vulnerable groups in the
Kingdom of Bahrain: Persons with Disabilities and on Children. A
human rights and development approach to disability focuses on the
removal of barriers to equal participation and the elimination of
discrimination based on disability. Accordingly, one focus of this
Project will be to develop a National Strategy for Persons with
Disabilities for the Kingdom of Bahrain. At the same time, it will
also focus on updating the Situation Analysis for Children in
Bahrain (SITAN) and developing a National Childhood Strategy which
will pave the way for nationwide, multi-sectoral discussions on the
priorities areas to be addressed. |
