i. |
Readiness survey was
completed by the CO and the counterpart through subcontracting a
vendor, which screened the status of the different stakeholders.
The survey clarified what and how much training is needed in the
government institutions. |

Recruited two
international consultants. Request for Proposal (RFP) was
drafted and approved. |

iii. |
A Two-day workshop on
e-training concept was organized, 40 employees from the civil
service attended. |

2007: |

RFP was completed and
publicized on the web site and the local newspapers. Quotations
were elicited, and a vendor was selected. |

2009: |

i. |
Procurement and
Management of a company (Sify was selected) to convert 2 x
face2face training courses from English to Arabic (in
Communications and Leadership), to be delivered by mid January. |

ii. |
Procurement of
consultants (TATA Interactive Services were selected) to prepare
for and conduct the Pilot phase of the project, to support
eTraining content, to plan for the eProduction Unit and to
review all activities of the project, developing an Annual Work
Plan and budget to meet these objectives. |

iii. |
BIPA in partnership
with TATA have been working with 10 Ministries who they will
hold the pilot phase with, including training “eCoordinators” in
the relevant Ministries to prepare them for the launch of the
Pilot Phase. |
